A Day With Virginia Turner

It was a wonderful day when Virginia Turner came to My Doll Castle. The hours flew by as the collectors chatted with this extraordinary doll artist and had their dolls signed. Cameras flashed, stories were told, refreshments were served, and of course, lots of doll talk! Many thanks to Virginia and Boyce for coming. |

Three cheers for the airlines who got Linda Rick to Oklahoma for a signing here in Claremore, Oct. 9th. It was fun, as always. So many doll collectors got to meet Linda for the first time-- and many got to visit with her again. Pictures to follow.

My Doll Castle is thrilled to have Linda Rick, The Doll Maker, visit again on Saturday, September 18, 2010.
Linda is a well-know doll artist, who makes porcelain dolls completely in the United States. Linda also has two lines of vinyl dolls called "Key To My Heart" and "Hayley Girls" and she produces the Precious Moments dolls. Under Doll Maker, Linda works with several exceptional doll artists, such as Diane Bucki, Brynn Middleton Riordan, Bonnie Chyle, and Sharon Robinson.
Linda will bring a Precious Moments doll ONLY available at her signings! And there's a very good chance she'll be making an exclusive Key To My Heart doll again for My Doll Castle. Last year's doll was loved by all. Being a limited edition, she was missed by some who came late. So keep your fingers crossed and stand by for more info on this year's doll.

What A Great Turnout!

Brynn Middleton Riordan was at My Doll Castle on Saturday, October 3rd. She is the daughter of Lee Middleton, a world renown artist. Brynn has become a gifted sculptor in her own right. Brynn now strives to carry on her mother's legacy. Throught the formation of a new company, Lee Middleton Moments, both Lee and Brynn's babies are once again available to doll lovers everywhere. We had a great time with this wonderful and talented lady! Lots of talking and laughing. Six lucky ladies went home with free dolls that they had won.

My Doll Castle hosted a party for Linda Rick, The Doll Maker, on Saturday, June 13th. It was a fantastic day of meeting and greeting, and doll signing. There were drawings for new dolls with many lucky winners. There was also a special doll given to everyone who bought a doll.
"Stephanie's Wedding Day", a very limited edition doll exclusive for My Doll Castle was introduced. She sold out early, much to the dismay of a few latecomers. All the guests enjoyed refreshments and picture-taking.

oll designer of Precious Moments dolls. This doll will be sold only at her signings this year. Linda's love for dolls began at an early age, and through the years this passion still remains. Linda's soft-spoken words and enthusiasm to make everyone's day just a little brighter make her one of the sweetest people "ewe" will ever meet!

Make A Baby Event

My Doll Castle hosted an Adora Make-a-Baby Event on Saturday, May 30th. Six adults and six children made their own doll from a kit. There was struggles getting it figured out but mostly there was laughter! Everyone went home quite happy, with their new "baby". |

This is Brooke and her doll, Lily, by Berenguer. Brooke's grandparents brought her to My Doll Castle so she could pick out a doll for her birthday and she picked Lily. Her Mom says she sleeps with Lily every night and most mornings this is how she finds her. |

Christmas Parade

With the help of friends, My Doll Castle was in the Claremore Parade. Our float had a "castle", Christmas tree and lights. It was towed by a Dave's Claremore RV motorhome decked out in lights. Our friends' children rode on the float and had a great time. My Doll Castle is grateful for all the help from Brian, Shane, Chance and the children: Taylor, Olivia, Jillian and Holden. We are blessed to have such wonderful people in our lives. |

Virginia Turner Signing!

My Doll Castle was very honored to host a Virginia Turner signing Nov. 1st. It was great fun. We had drawings for dolls and refreshments. Lucky Charlotte Tucker went home with Virginia's special doll signing doll "Apple Dumpling" which is a limited edition of 15. My Doll Castle also gave away dolls to seven lucky ladies and children. We all had a chance to talk with Virginia and learn about her life and the art of making dolls. Virginia has been creating dolls for over 25 years. She won the 2007 Jones Publishing Lifetime Achievement Award for her dolls. |

Birthday Party Artist Signing!

We had a birthday party for everyone! . On Saturday, Sept. 20th, Sarah Lynn from
Diamond Doll Design and doll artist Beverly Stoehr were at My Doll Castle. What a fun day! We had birthday cake, lemonade and gift bags. There were drawings for dolls. Sarah Lynn and Beverly visited with everyone. It was a happy, good time. Beverly is in the picture with Savannah Leonard. |

Artist Signing!

Linda Rick was at My Doll Castle on Saturday, June 21st from 11am to 4pm.
She gave away 10 dolls and signed dolls, posters, catalogs. Refreshments were served and everyone had fun. The Doll Maker is as beautiful as her dolls and a very sweet person. My Doll Castle was proud to have her visit us! She promises to come back next year.
