I was born into an army family and traveled most of my younger life. I always had a love for dolls but when I was younger and we were moving so much I was unable to have them. After being married, I had two children. I started in a ceramic class and tried to learn as much as possible. I taught ceramics for 15 years before I went into doll making. I attended a week-long class at Bell's Ceramics in Florida and went to Connie's in Oregon where I studied with Theo Menzebach who was a master sculptor from the Hummel factory in Germany. I studied under him for 5 years. I also studied under Marlene Engler of the Netherlands and also Hildegard Gunzel from Germany. I have also worked for the Effanbee doll company along with Edna Hibel and the Danbury Mint, Lenox China. I have been Marie Osmond's Teacher of sculpting and mentor for 5 years. I have also sculpted for the Marie Osmond line for the past 6 years. I have received numerous awards for my dolls.
