For Sybille Sauer the process of transforming a clump of clay into a new doll is as fascinating today as it was in 1985 when she first began modelling. "To me, designing means giving shape to my hopes, dreams and emotions, much as painters do in their pictures". Sybille Sauer produces her original works in small editions, preferring series with variations. Although she has garnered numerous awards in the past, she chooses no longer to participate in doll competitions. Sybille Sauer lives with her husband and two dogs in Dillenburg, Germany.
