Gerlinde Feser was born in 1966. She has two sons and lives with her husband Jurgen Feser in Bad Konig in the Odenwald region of Germany. After high school, she studied business administration. Her oldest son was born in 1988. From 1989 on, Gerlinde took several classes and received a training certificate from GDS for doll making. She has been teaching doll classes in her doll workshop for many years now and really enjoys sharing her knowledge with all the other doll enthusiasts. When her husband Jurgen joined with her in 1996, they began to take the doll world "by storm". Together, they were successful at many international shows, fairs, and competitions. Their second son was born in 2000, followed by a desire to sculpt again. Gerlinde is often asked what doll-making means to her. Her answer? "Doll-making gives me the ability to stop time and escape from it." Perhaps this dream is what makes us love dolls so much? What Gerlinde continues to wish for: health, and a family, friends, and collectors who can enjoy her doll children with her.
Gerlinde has been very successful in Europe with her beautiful newborn sculpts. Gerlinde has developed a new style of body. The cloth body is underneath the full body sculpt and it is the cloth that connects the arms that are sculpted above the elbow and the legs that are sculpted above the knees. This new body sculpt gives you the chance to feel a huggable baby and yet be able to dress her so her tummy or her behind can show.
