Angela Sutter
Angela Sutter discovered her talent for doll making when she designed marionettes for her own children. Later she began experimenting with other modelling materials. Initially she did not intend to offer her dolls for sale, preferring only to sell postcards of them and use the profit to buy more material. In 1989, however, she mounted the first exhibition of her dolls and accessories in Lucerne, Switzerland, where she also offered dollmaking workshops. The exhibition proved so successful that she soon decided to turn her hobby and passion into her career. Angela Sutter lives and works in Schenkon, a small Swiss village surrounded by beautiful countryside.
