It is one of the most familiar and beloved images of Christmas. A reverent Santa Claus kneels down at the sight of Baby Jesus cradled in swaddling clothes and sleeping peacefully on a bed of hay from The Manger.

Now, for the first time ever, Ashton-Drake is proud to present The Wonder of Christmas recreating this classic scene in a hand-crafted masterpiece from Master Doll Artist Cheryl Hill that is so lifelike, so detailed--you will feel as if you're watching the wonder unfold before your eyes!

The Wonder of Christmas unites a hand-crafted sculpture of Santa with an amazingly-lifelike sculpture of Baby Jesus. At 20 inches tall, Santa features a luxurious velvet suit edged in downy white trim, along with the familiar black boots, rosy red cheeks and a thick, woolly white beard. Santa's hat is removable as he kneels at the humbling sight of The Newborn King.

This high level of individualized hand-crafting has also been extended to the sleeping Baby Jesus. The sculptor has captured the natural curve of His tiny fingers, the delicate folds of His skin, His lifelike pose as He sleeps surrounded by soft swaddling clothes edged in golden trim. Look closely, and you’ll see that His basket has even been filled with realistic-looking "hay" in honor of Jesus' miraculous arrival in the manger.
