Nizhoni arrives with a custom designed outfit envisioned by Joe Yazzie, a Navajo artist who is receiving much attention for his thoughtful imagery. Nizhoni is swathed in a traditional, buckskin-inspired dress decorated with the likeness of the revered bear, who represents courage, freedom and protection--all that her family wishes for her in life. Elegantly accented with dusty rose details, fringed sleeves and hemming, Nizhoni's outfit is adorned with lustrous, hand-applied silver tones and traditional style patterns. Her custom-crafted silvery and petal-pink bracelet is enhanced with Native American-inspired beading, and a matching headband with silver concho is the perfect finishing touch.
